UnionPay cardholders enjoy 5 percent savings for train tickets purchase via LCR App

Vientiane, 23 May 2023 -- UnionPay International (UPI) and Laos-China Railway Company Limited (LCR) celebrate the enablement of UnionPay on Laos-China Railway Company Limited (LCR) App with an instant discount, exclusive for UnionPay Cardholders only.
Campaign period is from now to 15 August 2023, UnionPay Cardholders receive 5 percent discount per transaction when they successfully purchase LCR train tickets on the LCR App using their UnionPay card. Each UnionPay Cardholder is entitled up to two discounts per day, and a maximum of 15 discounts for the campaign period. Terms & conditions apply, first come first served.
On 13 April 2023, UnionPay announced that LCR App has been enabled with UnionPay, providing Cardholders with more convenience when purchasing tickets via the LCR App. UnionPay serves the world’s largest customer base, and is the preferred international payment brand in Laos with over 80 percent market share.
