Heathfield International School selected for Oxford curriculum standard

Heathfield International School in Vientiane last week announced the school had been selected by Oxford Education to join their Pilot School Programme commencing in 2020-2021 to implement the globally esteemed Oxford International Curriculum.
Oxford Education is affiliated with Oxford University, the first-class institution voted by The Times Higher Education World University Rankings as number one for the last four years.

According to the school, the highly innovative curriculum is ideal for international students with a focus on wellbeing. It helps students develop the global skills they need for future academic and career success.
Heathfield International School will welcome curriculum leaders from Oxford International in future to support local teaching staff in implementing the curriculum.
The school believes its academic excellence will be greatly enhanced by adopting the Oxford International Curriculum.
The Oxford Education plaque was handed over during a ceremony last week to the school Headmaster, Mr Michael Anderson by the Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy, Mr Jeff Matthewman.
The ceremony was attended by the Ministry of Education and Sports’ Office Head, Ms Daravone Kittiphan, the Board President of Heathfield International School, Mr Sounthone Phommachak and British Business Group Lao President, Mr John Cockcroft along with local authorities.
During the event, the school also announced that new buildings and facilities would be ready for teaching staff and students in September. The facilities include modern classrooms, new music and art rooms, a swimming pool, indoor sports centre, tennis courts and a multi-purpose astroturf pitch.
